The point I was trying to make is that there is the ODB compiler binary
(odb-2.3.0-i686-macosx.tar.bz2) that already includes a private copy of
GCC with plugin support enabled. So you could have just downloaded and
used that without having to build GCC nor ODB (compiler) yourself. 

But thanks for providing further details on how to build custom GCC
for MacOS and then use it with ODB.
